Beautiful hand rolled merino felt and antique lace Rubyruby handbag. This fantastic original handbag is called 'Belle Epoque' and is inspired by the Parisian life in the 1920's. Lovely black antique lace has been felted into the soft merino fibres in the process of feltmaking. It is lined with black silk appliqued with silk flowers. The handle is black silk velvet and is embellished with vintage buttons, glass crystal beads, a vintage Paris Tour d'Eiffel brooch and silk handmade roses. Thick wide luxurious double faced velvet ribbon tie across encrusted in black duotone glass beads.

This bag measures 14 inches across the base, 8 inches deep, the handles are 34 inches from the base of the bag over the top to the other side so perfect for popping over your shoulder.

This beautiful baguette bag is just one fantastic ball of pastel fusion. Lovely hand dyed vintage piece of lace edged cloth in a wonderful coral shade. The blue hand embroidered swallow has been taken from a vintage textile from France, it was a little bag to put a baby bib into. The bib has 2 blue birds on it and will be reused in another bag. The interior of the bag is a lovely daffodil shade of vintage chintz, recycled from a vintage tablecloth. The side circular panels are handrolled merino and wensleydale felt as is the handle which has been trimmed with antique embroidered lace. Two huge vintage mother of pearl buttons adorn the sides, and a swoosh of antique hand dotted lace finishes the front flap. Silk and handmade flowers embellish. This has been painstakingly reconstructed into a gorgeous clutch bag using recycled vintage materials. An antique piece of flouncy lace from an antique lace bonnet has been sewn into a frill onto the front of the bag. Turning it over in your palm you will find a row of vintage lace threaded with some kitten soft velvet ribbon in hot pink. Two vintage embroidered doilies form the ends. Inside is the real treat though, dip your hand into this cool antique silk. The quality of this silk is absolutely gorgeous! When I saw this gorgeous antimaccasar (chair back cover) I fell in love with it. Someone had handpainted the flowers the most ethereal pale pastel colours and it instantly made me think of the Sofia Coppola 'Marie Antoinette' movie. I found some gorgeous duck egg blue silk dupion that softly swishes when you touch it, I used this dreamy silk to line the clutch bag, softly pleating it inside for the perfect fit. Two delicate handmade vintage crochet rounds look like frilly doilles on the ends of the bag. This is a real confection of a bag, I seem to be heavily influenced by pastel silks and cupcakes at the moment! A piece of glorious antique lace threaded with vintage satin peach ribbon adorns the outside of the clutch. I have used creamy vanilla vintage mother of pearl buttons that are a perfect clotted cream colour and three crystal droplets from an adorable vintage mini chandelier. Duck egg blue ribbon shot with lines of bronze is pleated along the front of the bag just above a generous swag of butter soft printed silk.
